Where it Started: My Art Story
I learned to knit for a hobby while I was working on my dissertation to complete a PhD in medival history. When I completed the thumb of first mitten, I felt a sense of accomplishement and satisfaction that I had not felt in a very long time. I knew that making was what I needed to do. Within a week, I left my dissertation behind and started pursuing studies in art.
